アートと、猫と、私。
私にとって、絵を描くことは、ずっと呼吸をすることのようでした。
幼いころから、言葉にできない想いを、筆が代わりに語ってくれました。キャンバスは、自分の心にどこまでも正直でいられる、たったひとつの場所でした。
猫には、静かで不思議な力があります。ひと言も発することなく、そこにいるだけで、まわりの空気を変えてしまう。そのまなざしに触れると、自分の内側にある、深く静かな場所へと誘われます。時代や文化を超えて、猫は魔法や目に見えないものの象徴であり、人の手が届かない世界の守り手でもありました。その瞳の奥には、私たちには決してわかりきれない何かが宿っています。まるで全てを見透かしているようです。
私が猫を描くのは、その神秘を、多くの人に伝えたいから。作品を作るたびに、目には見えない何かとつながるように感じます。それは、遠い昔から続く、やわらかく、確かな何かです。
それが、Mitchy Catのはじまりでした。
作品はすべて、手書きです。同じものは、ふたつとありません。全ての作品に想いを込めました。
アートは、額縁の中だけに生きるものではなく、身にまとい、ともに歩くことで、作品はもう一度息を吹き返すと感じます。

Mitchy Cat — About the Artist
For as long as I can remember, painting has felt like breathing.
Since childhood, my brush has spoken the feelings words could never hold. The canvas was the one place I could be utterly honest with myself.
Cats carry a quiet, mysterious power. Without a single sound, their mere presence changes the air around them. To meet their gaze is to be drawn into a deep, still place within yourself. Across cultures and centuries, cats have stood as symbols of magic and the unseen — guardians of a world just beyond our reach. Something lives behind those eyes that we can never fully know. It is as though they see straight through everything.
I paint cats because I want to share that mystery with others. Each time I create, I feel connected to something unseen — something soft, enduring, carried forward from a time long past.
That is where Mitchy Cat began.
Every piece is hand-painted. No two are ever alike. Each one carries a piece of my heart.
Art was never meant to live only within a frame. Worn on the body, carried through daily life, a piece breathes again.
